Selection Process : Candidates Selection process will be basis of interview Or Viva-Voce Test.

Pay Band : Eligible Applicants can get Rs.15600-39100/- pay scale with Rs.6000/- Grade Pay per Month.

Exam Fee Details :General Candidates have to pay Rs.130/- and APST applicants need to pay Rs.70/-, application form can obtained through Commission office, Itanagar.

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) is seeking qualified candidates for the post of Director (T & OS), Shipping Corporation of India Limited in schedule “A” of the CPSE, the scale of pay of the post being Rs. 75,000-1,00,000/-.(Revised) A copy of the job description for the post is enclosed.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Director (Technical & Offshore Services ) is a member of the Board of Directors and reports to Chairman & Managing Director. He is responsible for preparation of technical policies in relation to maintenance and safety system for the fleet and for R&D technical areas etc.

AGE LIMIT : On the date of occurrence of vacancy

1. Minimum 45 years.
2. Not more than 58 years for internal candidates and not more than 57 years for others. The age of superannuation is 60 years.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:  The candidate should be an Engineering graduate or equivalent preferably in Marine Engineering/Naval Architecture/Master Mariner with good academic record from a recognized university/institution or a Master Mariner. He should have adequate experience at senior level of management in a large organization of repute. Persons with experience in dealing with Shipping/Offshore projects and connected fields would have added advantage.

Provided that minimum qualification is relaxable in the case of internal candidates and Government officers with relevant and adequate background and experience.

DURATION OF APPOINTMENT : The appointment shall be for a period of five years or upto the date of superannuation whichever is earlier.
